Hawzah News Agency- Marzieh Hashemi, the secretary of the Popular Ammar Film Festival, which was held at Abudar Mosque in Tehran on Sunday, reacted to the recent Zionist-backed riots in Iran and said, "Watching violent scenes of burning the Quran is heart-wrenching. As an American journalist, I am proud to be present in Islamic Republic of Iran, and must clarify our stance towards Iranian, as many are unaware of Iran and its relationship with the youth in West.”
Hashemi noted, "I have discussed the Ammar Film Festival with many fellow artists from the US, and England, who cannot participate due to the fear of arbitrary arrest, they are often detained for chanting 'Free Palestine'."
She also addressed to the oppression of Iran's forces by rioters and stated, "In no part of the world is a security force without weapons, but we have seen hundreds of Iranian security forces, without arms, subjected to the most brutal attacks by rioters,” she said. “This is due to the media propaganda against Iran, while in the US, where I grew up, if there is a riot, military forces with combat weapons and tanks would be deployed.”
Hashemi considered the intense media campaign against Iran as targeted and emphasized the need for enlightenment in these circumstances: "We must clarify the reality of the situation. President Trump has admitted that we are attacking Iran, and Mossad is supporting the rioters. Thus, the enemy's presence is clear, and it is our duty to defend our country Iran."
“The enemy is an oppressor and a bloodthirsty regime against all Iranians, and this enmity must be spoken, regardless of religious or non-religious affiliations.” She concluded.
